Sanctuary City Crackdown Will be Backed by WH
(Mobile Conservative-) Monday, March 27, Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a statement concerning sanctuary cities. A new guidance will require state and local jurisdictions to comply and certify compliance with section 1373 so that they may be eligible for Office of Justice Program grants. This will essentially cut OJP funding for all cities refusing to comply and enforce United States immigration law.
During his press release Sessions referenced a few of the many times our cities have failed to enforce our current immigration laws. In many cases, outcomes have been fatal. Cities harboring and promoting illegal aliens put American lives at risk. This disregard for law must end. They will now run the risk of losing federal dollars.
