No One Questioned General ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis As Defense Secretary, And For Good Reason!
Day one of ‘Mad Dog’ was explosive, to say the least. General Mattis began with a grand total of 31 strikes against the Islamic State group, according to the Independent Journal Review. The strikes were carried out in both Syria and Iraq. Among the targets were nine strongholds, multiple tactical units, two tunnels, a headquarters building, a bomb factory, two oil wells, two weapons caches, many tanks and trucks, and a command module node.
The Trump administration has set a clear tone: America will not stand for The Islamic State anymore!
Combating terrorism and securing the American borders has been one of Trump’s top priorities since taking office less than a week ago. The changing tides of America’s image here and abroad are rising, as our enemies see the strong will of our military will no longer be undermined. Friends and allies can rest assured that America is back.
In a letter Mattis sent to all Department of Defense employees:
“Every action we take will be designed to ensure our military is ready to fight today and in the future. Recognizing that no nation is secure without friends, we will work with the State Department to strengthen our alliances. Further, we are devoted to gaining full value from every taxpayer dollar spent on defense, thereby earning the trust of Congress and the American people.”
