Thursday, The NY Daily News editorial board wrote a BRUTAL review of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, holding the New York Democrat accountable for her role in taking down the Amazon deal.

The news outlet, which has been widely considered the more liberal of the two NY tabloids, is now blaming Ocasio-Cortez for the loss of “25,000 to 40,000 jobs” in their city.
“From the moment Amazon chose New York City, AOC used her massive platform as the biggest star in Congress to inveigh against the deal as an affront to economic justice, never mind the facts,” claimed the daily news.
The biggest lie they claim AOC spread stemmed from Ocasio-Cortez claiming the deal would cost the city $3 billion. Completely false.
The Democrat congresswoman acted as though New York was forking over cash, misrepresenting the deal entirely.
“As the public — which supported and still supports the deal nearly two-to-one — well understands, the company’s state tax breaks were to be paid back to it as jobs were created, only after they were created, as a fraction of the economic benefit produced.”
