Breaking: Trump Administration Issues Sanctions on North Korea

North Korea has been in the process of developing of weapons of mass destruction and continues to violate international law. In response, the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has imposed financial sanctions on one North Korean company and 11 North Korean individuals.

Last month, Secretary of Defense “Mad-Dog Mattis” issued a warning for the extremist regime to stop their “provocative behavior.” Reports indicated that North Korea’s Yongbyon nuclear facility has restarted its plutonium reactor.

According to the Treasury Department, the individuals named in the sanctions were “working as agents of the regime in Russia, China, Vietnam, and Cuba to provide financial support or procurement services” for WMDs.

“Today’s sanctions are aimed at disrupting the networks and methods that the government of North Korea employs to fund its unlawful nuclear, ballistic missile, and proliferation programs,” Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in a statement published Friday. “I urge our partners and allies to take similar measures to cut off its funding.”
