Throughout his recent book tour, James Comey denied multiple times that the agents who interviewed former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn thought he was telling the truth regarding his contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
“I didn’t believe that and didn’t say that,” Comey said live on Fox News.
But a newly released version of the House Intel committee’s report on Russian interference reveals previously redacted paragraphs in which Comey testified that the FBI interviewers “saw nothing that indicated to them that (Flynn) knew he was lying to them.”
Why is Comey lying?? This information casts doubt on Mueller’s case against Flynn, who has already plead guilty to lying to investigators.
Experts have hypothesized that Flynn agreed to a plea in order to save his son Mike Jr., who worked for him, from being prosecuted.
